The 16th International Smart Grids Conference (SGC2026) will be held on December 16–17, 2026—corresponding to 25–26 Azar 1405—in Isfahan, one of Iran’s most historic and culturally distinguished cities. The conference is jointly organized by the ACECR Institute of Higher Education, Isfahan Branch, and the Iranian Society of Smart Grid, bringing together academics, researchers, industry professionals, students, and energy-sector stakeholders from Iran and around the world.

Building upon the successful legacy of its fifteen previous editions, the International Smart Grids Conference provides a dynamic forum for advancing knowledge, exchanging scientific and technical ideas, and fostering meaningful collaboration between academia and industry. English-language papers from previous editions are indexed and publicly available through the internationally recognized IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

SGC2026 aims to bring innovative ideas and valuable expertise together while presenting the latest research findings, emerging technologies, and practical solutions in smart energy grids. At a time when the transition toward clean energy, the digitalization of infrastructure, and the resilience of power systems have become global priorities, the conference offers a valuable opportunity to help shape the future of intelligent, reliable, and sustainable energy systems.

The scientific program will feature keynote speeches, technical paper sessions, specialized workshops, and expert panel discussions. A concurrent exhibition and a best thesis competition will also be organized with the participation of distinguished academics, industry leaders, professionals, and representatives of relevant organizations. Together, these activities will create an inspiring environment in which knowledge, experience, and innovation converge, paving the way for stronger scientific and industrial partnerships. In December 2026, Isfahan—a city celebrated for its enduring legacy of science, art, and civilization—will welcome the smart-grid community. It will be a meeting place where research and technology come together to help build a smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable energy future.
